Diversity in Practicum and Internship (DIPI) Assistantship
Description: Assistantship
to support the Director of Clinical Training in consultation with the Diversity
Committee in determining future DIPI trainings at Forest.

reduction in tuition, up to $6,000 per fellowship
Eligibility:
Advanced
standing, defined as students who, by the end of the Summer 2012 semester, have
had two consecutive terms at full-time enrollment; i.e., 9+ credit hours per
semester, since matriculating to Forest.
Criteria for Selection:
- Commitment to and
interest in supporting the future of Diversity in Practicum and Internship
training.
- Evaluation of
diversity competency.
- Interview with
Director of Clinical Training.
- Financial need.
- Preference may be
given to students enrolled in the doctoral program in clinical psychology.
Materials Required for Consideration:
- Completed FEETS Application Form;
- Vita;
- 600+ word written statement expressing the applicant’s commitment
and interest in supporting the future of DIPI training at Forest.
- Two recommendations from faculty who are knowledgeable
of the student’s competency in the domain of Diversity.
- Documented financial eligibility for federal student aid; i.e., submission
of FAFSA.
Expected Outcomes:
Recipients of the DIPI Assistantship will be
required to document hours that they contribute to the project and submit
weekly timesheets to the work study office.Timesheets must be signed by the faculty/administrative sponsor assigned
to supervise fellows throughout the year. Fellowship recipients are expected to
contribute at least 4 hours to the project weekly. A written document describing their
activities will be presented.
