Community Support Services (CSS), part of the Minnesota Department of Human Services, has a rewarding opening for a Behavior Analyst in Northwest MN. The CSS team provides consultation, assessment, and other services in order to help individuals with intellectual disabilities and other diagnoses to build support networks and continue living in their communities. The program also works to strengthen the ability of community providers to serve these individuals. The Behavior Analyst strongly impacts the quality of a person’s life and successful community living, and may influence whether or not an individual is institutionalized. Job Description:

Provide advanced assessment, clinical consultation, person-centered support recommendations, and training for clinically complex individuals and their community support networks. Guide CSS services toward expected outcomes for assigned cases. Develop and provide individualized, multi-disciplinary training and technical assistance to community providers and other professionals to: enhance their abilities to manage difficult behavioral and system issues; assist care providers to increase the stability of clinically complex individuals’ community living; and divert inpatient admissions when safely possible.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have ALL of the following:

• Master’s degree in behavior analysis or a behavioral health-related field (e.g., psychology, clinical social work, counseling, etc.);

• At least one year of experience developing and implementing behavioral interventions for individuals exhibiting challenging behavior;

• Working knowledge of community resources and approaches to assessing the treatment service delivery potential to ensure successful community living, as well as medications and medication control procedures sufficient to identify behavioral problems related to medications;

• Valid Minnesota driver's license.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or BCBA-eligible.
