Dr. Ellis named Director of Murney Clinic Internship Program
Diane M. Ellis, Psy.D., has been named as Director of Internship
Training for the APA-accredited internship program at the Robert J. Murney
Clinic at Forest Institute and began her formal responsibilities with our new
interns on September 4th. Dr. Ellis also serves as Assistant Clinic
Director and maintains a professional practice serving clients at the Murney
Clinic. She is a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor in
Missouri, as well as holding a certification as a Health Services Provider. Dr.
Ellis is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, a National Certified
Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (National Board for
Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists).
As part of her training at Forest Institute of Professional
Psychology, Dr. Ellis completed a certificate program in Pain Management, a
program approved by the American Academy of Pain Management, and a certificate
in Integrated Health Care: Practice, Consultation, & Management. Dr. Ellis
completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Arizona State University,
after completing 92 credit hours at the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a
major in Journalism. Dr. Ellis earned a Master of Business Administration
degree, with a major in Management, from Western International University in
Phoenix, Arizona. She was awarded a Masters of Arts in Psychology from
Forest Institute of Professional Psychology, as well as a doctoral degree in
Clinical Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, from Forest Institute. Dr. Ellis
completed a pre-doctoral internship at South East Kansas Psychological
Internship Consortium and completed a post-doctoral residency at the Robert J.
Murney Clinic.
Dr. Ellis is President of Bailey-Ellis Consulting Group, Inc.
a Missouri corporation (currently inactive) that formerly provided
management consulting services to Missouri lawyers and law firms, including
lawyers referred in connection with disciplinary proceedings stemming from
ethical violations associated with management issues and lawyers referred by
professional liability insurance companies for risk assessment and prevention
consultations. Bailey-Ellis Consulting Group, Inc. also provided qualified
Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) services to employee subject to Department
of Transportation Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing Rules. Prior to relocating
to Missouri, Dr. Ellis was employed by the State Bar of Arizona as Director of
the Lawyer Assistance Programs, including the Law Office Management Assistance
Program and the Member Assistance Program, which provided assessment/referral
services and coordinated treatment programs and peer support for attorneys
impaired by substance or process addictions or mental health issues.
