Forest Institute St. Louis first opened its doors in the fall of 2010, and for President Dr. Mark Skrade it brings back memories of when he graduated from Forest's first Springfield class.
"Thank you for having the faith in Forest. It was a risk, but a risk that will be rewarded. I assure you," said Dr. Skrade.
Throughout the evening students, faculty, and staff reflected on the last two years.
"I have seen so much growth in you as you've tackled a program that's not easy academically, and it's certainly challenging in that you have to be introspective and think about what you are learning critically. You really have to look at yourself. That's a hard thing to do," said Dr. Ellen Glover-Orr. "So, I hope you feel as proud of yourselves as we are of you."
