How do I access the titles?
Search for the book in the Forest Library Catalog if you are on campus OR off campus. If you are off campus, the library proxy server will prompt you to authenticate as a Forest user before providing access.
To see all ebrary titles
, go to the Forest website. Click on Library > Find > Books > Ebrary icon
Can more than one person use the e-book at one time?
In most cases, only a single user can use the e-book at one time. Click on the Release Title button at the top of the ebrary screen to make the book immediately available for another user.
How do I view the books?
You can view books immediately in your browser using ebrary's QuickView. For more functionality, you can download the add-on program ebrary Reader to your own computer.
Can I search the books?
Yes, you can search the full-text of the books.
Can I save, download, print or copy and paste text from the books?
Save – no
Download – no
Print (to printer or print as PDF document) – Limited number of pages allowed, usually up to 60 pages per session
Copy – Limited to one page of text at a time (no images allowed)
Can I highlight text, add notes or bookmark a page?
Yes, yes and yes! Your annotations are saved under My BookShelf. . For more functionality, you can download the add-on program ebrary Reader to your own computer.
How do we decide whether to buy a book in print or in electronic format?
The majority of the books we purchase are still print format. When considering whether to buy an e-book, we weigh a number of factors including cost, format availability, type of publication it is, type of access that's needed and what locations need to access it.
