Forest President Appointed to New APA Task Force

Forest is pleased to announce that President Dr. Mark Skrade has been appointed to serve on the American Psychological Association’s new Primary Care Task Force.

This goal of this new task force is to make recommendations to the Board of Educational Affairs for a comprehensive strategic plan for education and training to prepare psychologists for integrated health care in varied settings.

Dr. Skrade’s commitment will involve performing an assessment of psychology's current training in primary care and recommending how the APA Board of Education Affairs, and APA itself, can further these efforts within the field.

When asked about the honor, Dr. Skrade said this "highlights Forest's leadership and development in the field of integrated health care,” and he is "honored to serve.”

Forest is only the second school in the country to offer a Primary Care Psychology concentration for clinical psychology doctoral students.
