Forest Alumnus Wins Award for Edvance360
Edvance360 is a learning environment everyone at Forest is familiar with, but it's one of our very own making the system the resourceful tool it is today.
Glen Moriarty, PsyD graduated from Forest in 2002 with his degree in Clinical Psychology and became the developer of Edvance 360.
This month the learning management solution took home a 2011 CODiE Award, which celebrates outstanding achievement and vision in software, digital information, and education technology industries.
This was the third year Edvance360 entered the peer based award program in the "Best Postsecondary Course or Learning Management Solution" category.
"The honor of being a CODiE Award finalist each of the three years we have participated is a validation of the work we and our network of clients have invested into Edvance360 LMS-SN," said Moriarty.
Among those Edvance360 trumped for the top honor in 2011 were the Blackboard learning platform, Jenzabar e-Racer, and joule by Moodlerooms.
"Winning the award confirms that our industry peers agree with us: collaborative, learner-focused, and cost-effective solutions like Edvance360 provide exactly what educational institutions need," said Moriarty.
Edvance360 remains the primary learning and communications tool for Forest students and faculty.
