Give Blood; Save a Life
The disaster in Joplin is a perfect example of how large quantities of blood can be needed and quick.
Currently, the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is under a Code Yellow Alert, meaning there is less than a two day supply of blood on ready for use.
But you can help by rolling up your sleeves this Wednesday and donating a little bit of your time...and blood, of course.
The Community Blood Center's Bloodmobile will be coming to the
Springfield campus on Wednesday June 15th.
The drive will be from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
A sign up sheet is outside of the Student Council office for people to
donate blood.
For those who are unable or do not want to donate blood,
there is also a sign up to volunteer your time.
This year, Student Council will be
supplying breakfast foods for the first half of the drive and will be
having a BBQ for the second half of the drive!
